So last time, I !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! It’s not the blower, nor the resistor pack. If you look closely at the assembly, there is a relay visible.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Currently the fan works on speeds 1 through 4. All of these speeds use the resistor pack to generate the appropriate voltage through the HVAC control module. Speed 5 triggers a relay on the resistor pack to provide full 40A 12VDC to the motor. I am hearing the relay click, but no connection.
So I’m off to get a GM / ACDelco resistor pack (assuming that I can verify that the relay is faulty, meaning checking the 40A Maxifuse). That isn’t made in China. Perhaps I should also test the relay before installing it.
Also new parts came, and I got some of the other stuff on the list done. I’ll do a writeup over the weekend.

If and only if the fuse is good. :)
Otherwise I’ll be off to my local Chevy dealer to get the Delco part.
